The game is set up as a series of gratuitous space battles that you either win and move to the next star system or lose and need to replay. When Gratuitous Space Battles 2 came down my pike, I decided to give it a chance to see if my initial feelings about the series was correct, and boy were they! This game will find a fan base, of that I know for certain, it just isn’t going to be me.Īs the title suggests, there really isn’t a plot here, nor a story really. I did not play the original game, simply because its premise did not excite me or sound like something I would find fun. Positech Games has released the follow up to their strategic space battle game, Gratuitous Space Battles, the aptly named Gratuitous Space Battles 2.
